Forensic Investigations
APEC Engineering & Laboratory, LLC uses standard investigation methods to conduct forensic investigations when damage occurs as a result of destructive weather, such as a hurricane or tornado. These methods allow APEC to determine the cause of damage to building envelope and reduced sustainability. In turn, we are able to supply expert witness testimony for parties involved in disputes regarding causation of damages from an event of destructive force.
In our forensic investigations, we also employ various ASTM methods to provide repetitive, documentable test results, thereby eliminating guess work and subjective opinion.
Our laboratory holds accreditation through the International Accreditation Service for demonstrating compliance of standard general requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories.
